Um... what did I say at the beginning of November? Well, forget what I said. I actually reached the 50,000-word barrier of the National Novel Writing Month today. The (working) title of the story is "Hidden Truth," and it's a sequel to "Backwards to Oregon." If you want to read an excerpt, visit the NaNoWriMo page and click on "novel info."
I will be a guest in Lara Zielinsky's blog talk radio "Readings in Lesbian & Bisexual Women's Fiction" on December 5, at 2 p.m. (EST). I'll be reading an excerpt from my newest novel, "Second Nature," and answer questions.

It seems I took a long time between updates this time. Sorry about that.
This week, I got started on writing the long-promised sequel to "Backwards to Oregon," and I'm participating in NaNoWriMo
For the non-writers and acronym haters: That's the National Novel Writing Month (November). The goal is to write 50,000 words within this one month. I already know that most likely, I won't be anywhere near 50,000 words by the end of November (still not done with my research and plotting), but it'll be fun to try.
In the meantime, I also wrote two short stories about the characters from "Backwards to Oregon."
Both will be available for free on the L-Book Web site, and I might also submit at least one of them to archives online. I'll let you know.

I'm happy to announce that I just signed my new novel, "Second Nature," with L-Book.
